Within the last several months, SYNLawn Houston completed the installation of 28,350 square feet of our Houston, TX artificial grass for D.R. Horton Summer Camp Ranch. The project features a powerful combination of three unique SYNLawn Houston synthetic grass solutions. We utilized 27,000 square feet of SYNPro 60 in an alternating pattern to replicate the appearance of freshly cut conventional grass as well as the look found on athletic fields. Additionally, Summer Camp Ranch now offers a 1,350-square-foot putting green design with Precision Putt and SYNRye 200 for the children and visitors of Camp Horton to enjoy.

SYNPRO 60 ARTIFICIAL GRASS

To provide the course at D.R. Horton Summer Camp Ranch with a professional experience that is suitable for all ages and skill levels, we chose Precision Putt. This PGA-caliber golf green offers a realistic putt and true ball roll and will accurately disperse energy to provide a natural slowdown. Precision Putt is suitable for practicing your short game, flop shots, chipping, and more while resisting unpredictable weather that we sometimes face.
ENVIROLOC+™ BACKING SYSTEM
One of the many achievements that has come from our close relationship with American farmers is the EnviroLoc+ backing system. EnviroLoc+ increases the longevity of Houston synthetic grass by preventing shedding and offering a maximum drainage rate of 1,200 inches per hour. This allows for near-immediate usage even after heavy rainfall. In addition, EnviroLoc+ is responsible for incorporating the minimum requirement of 60% plant or bio-based content to achieve USDA certification.
HEATBLOCK™ TECHNOLOGY
Throughout the year, we face changes in temperatures and, at times, uncomfortable surfaces. One of the ways that we enable our artificial turf and golf greens to stay comfortable is with HeatBlock technology. In physics, emissivity is the degree to which a material emits heat. HeatBlock is the most efficient way for us to reduce emissivity and provide artificial grass that stays up to 20% cooler than any other competing brand. Our pigments reflect more infrared radiation, and that is what allows our grass fibers to stay cooler in these hotter climates.
